The Grand Uniara

Jaipur was the last city of our Rajasthan Trip. We had kept this bustling and beautiful town to end our trip with best memories.

We reached Jaipur early in the morning from Jaisalmer and checked into Grand Uniara — a luxury business cum heritage hotel. Grand Uniara truly makes your stay filled with royalty and luxury. This hotel in itself has its own history dating back into the royalty of Rajputana! The morning was amazing with breakfast from their cafe. We chose the regular English Breakfast of sausages, omlette, sunny sideup, breads along with pastries and cookies. After gaining energy by gorging on food we decided to explore the property more.

Grand Uniara has two different types of in-house restaurants where one is pure veg and the other serves all kinds of cusines. There is a huge bar which caters to outside regular crowd along with guests and also hosts parties. There is a seperate room for business meetings and conferences. This heritage hotel also hosts weddings!! Yep you read that absolutely right. We were so thrilled and excited to check the wedding venue and lucky enough to run into a wedding happening on that very day. The banquet is beautiful and spacious, also the outside garden area adds to the beauty of the property. Coming to the architecture of this hotel it’s absolutely traditional and is intricately carved. Each floor has a different and unique texture. The lights and carpets all have an old yet regal touch to it. The best part of Grand Uniara is it’s heritage feel along with the luxury of the modern world.

Our room had a pool in it’s very own floor. Subham and I literally spent the entire afternoon chilling in the cozy terrace pool with a dash of sunlight over us. October it was, the weather wasn’t too hot either. Lunch was all about traditional Rajasthani Laal Maas, Kulchas, Chicken tikkas and delectable desserts. I was absolutely delighted by their warm hospitality.

In the evening we went out to explore Jaipur and came back tired to the warmth and comfort of our room. Our room had a view overlooking the garden below and it was very spacious. The walls were adorned with paintings which made it look absolutely surreal. After resting for a while we headed towards dinner, which was again all about North Indian traditional delicacies.

It was a one night stay for us in Uniara, but the experience that we had will stay in our hearts for a lifetime! The city and it’s beautiful places are culturally and historically absolutely phenomenal.
