The Westin Kolkata is one of the best 5 star hotels in eastern India. It is well known for its magnificent infrastructure, varied dining options and unmatched hospitality. We decided to take a short break from our busy lives and enjoy a staycation in the lap of luxury.

We were staying in the Deluxe room on the 22nd floor. The view from the room was breathtaking. The room was equipped with all kinds of luxurious amenities – a king size bed, study table, TV, sofa, wardrobe, thermostat, mini bar and others. The washroom was beautiful with sliding doors. The best thing was the bathtub facing the glass window. It was impeccable !

We had a quick lunch from the buffet at Seasonal Tastes. The spread here is probably the best in the city. There’s almost everything that is available in the buffet – kebabs, roast, Chinese, Thai curry, North Indian and even Sushi. We loved their food and hospitality. The best part of the meal was the dessert section which had around 50 varieties of deserts. We were too full by then but couldn’t resist the exquisite desserts. The Milk Chocolate Entremet and The Gulab Jamun Cheesecake were my favorite.

During the evening, we went near the pool. The pool is huge and well maintained. One can chill by the pool for hours. It was a windy day and we had a great time there. We woke up early morning the other day. The morning view from the room was spectacular.

We went to Seasonal Tastes for our breakfast. Once again, we were extremely impressed with the spread. It had a lot of options. We had fresh fruits, sausages, bacon, salami with cheese and mushroom omlette. We also had masala dosa, luchi cholar dal, ghoogni with bun and a lot more. We ended our meal with chocolate waffles. This was indeed a grand breakfast !!

Finally, it was time to check-out. With heavy hearts we had to leave our room and the hotel.
The Westin Kolkata will always remain as a wonderful memory. The food, the room, the staff and the overall hospitality is unforgettable and unparallel.
