Darjeeling is the queen of the Himalayas! It’s beauty is enthralling and to enjoy a short yet relaxing trip the first step is choosing the most suitable resort as per your needs.

We like to usually stay at a place that has impeccable view, that is away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded areas. Around April this year, we went to Darjeeling and Rj resort is situated near Mall Road and has an amazing view of the hill range. Rj’s location is such that it gives you the vibe of a cosy mountain resort yet is close to the market and shops.

We checked in around afternoon and headed for a property tour. The architecture of the resort is really well planned. It has multiple floors, interiors are wonderful, the rooms are spacious and clean with good views. Rooms have all the basic amenities.
They have an in-house restaurant.

The sundeck is one of the most popular cafe’s in Darj. On top of the resort sundeck gives you a surreal view of Kanchenjunga. The cafe has a beautiful rooftop setup with a variety of unique flowers, live drinks and snacks counter. Time flies at this place. Whether it’s dusk or night, the beauty of this place is worth a mention.

The food here is equally good. Their breakfast and dinner buffet has a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, which were very delectable. We also tried from their a-la-carte menu – Fish Fingers, Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken. The portions were great and we loved the food. The drinks at their sundeck are phenomenal. We tried Virgin Mojito and Pinacolada. They were very refreshing.

The staff of the resort is very amiable and they helped me setup a customised birthday plan for my husband. We absolutely enjoyed it and this is a great way to spend the special days of your loved ones and that too on a holiday.

Overall, our experience has been wonderful and we can’t wait to visit Rj Resort again ❤️
