Luxury Redefined at The Abduz, Leh

A trip to ladakh is basically a dream trip . We couldn’t be more excited while planning this. Ladakh is a life changer when it comes to experiencing new terrains, new culture and understand what diversity truly is. Travelling together has helped us grow individually and holistically. We have bonded stronger for sure. Our trip to Ladakh was planned on a short notice and we decided to keep the first two days mostly for acclimatization. We went through various options and finally bumped upon Hotel Abduz, Leh.

This luxury property is situated very close to Leh main market! The Abduz is a wonderful property with intricate architecture and the best of facilities for their guests. We checked into the hotel around 2 pm and negative RTPCR report is currently mandatory to stay at the hotel. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They ensured we had a very hassle free check in. A special mention to their General Manager, Mr Venkat, who is a vibrant personality and is ever ready to help his guests. We checked into our suite shortly. The suite had two spacious rooms along with two seperate washrooms. The rooms were super comfortable had an enticing view of the entire beautiful landscape with lush green trees popping amongst the mountains. The room has all modern amenities that any 5 star hotel offers.

After check-in and relaxing for a short while, we headed for a property tour and this property has honestly so much to offer. They have seperate section for indoor games and refreshment zones.
The terrace of the hotel is my most favourite part as it offers a 360° view of Leh . The mountains and the trees look just picturesque from there. You basically catch a glimpse of entire Leh city. We then headed towards the main market and guess what – Abduz even offered us a complimentary drop! We absolutely loved the gesture.

One of the major attractions of this hotel is the open lawn where every night there is bonfire and live music to groove to. The guests usually throng this place during dinner as it has such a lively vibe. We had our dinner here and the spread was huge. There were multiple starters. The main course spread had local Ladakhi cuisine, North Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. We absolutely loved the food and the amazing spread. The desserts were equally good.

Next morning breakfast was all about a super lavish spread, which included south indian, paratha, breads, sausages, eggs, fruits, corn flakes, juices, baked beans, hash brown, pancakes, donuts and lot more. Post breakfast we went out for local sightseeing.

We came back around evening and ordered a few snacks via room service. We tried Papdi Chaat, Momos and Sushi. We were initially sceptical of how the sushis might be, but to our surprise, they tasted authentic and were absolutely delicious. The momos were thin and had a wonderful stuffing. It was a great meal. For dinner, we once again enjoyed a lavish spread. Since our second day was Independence Day, the buffet was super colorful. The desserts section mostly flaunted the tricolor and it looked so good. We enjoyed the breakfast next morning and it was finally time to leave this luxurious property and set our foot towards the next phase of our trip.

Abduz is an experience in Ladakh which set our trip in the most jolly tune. The initial days were all about acclimatizing and this property with its surreal view amongst the mountains and lush green fields gives a picturesque view of Leh city from its rooftop. It was difficult to bid adieu to this place as this was such a wholesome experience. As all good things come to an end, this too ended. Although it’s definitely on our list the next time we visit ladakh. We left Abduz with a slight heavy heart but memories that we will carry for a lifetime.
