Wherever we roam nature is the only stranger that feels like home. Nubra is a place with pulchritudinous beauty that frees the soul – a place that brings you closer to heaven. Nubra Valley is well known for its white sand dunes and surreal natural beauty. We chose to spend two nights at Nubra and decided to stay at one of the most beautiful resorts – Verda White Sands.

We reached Verda White Sands Nubra around late afternoon and couldn’t help but just stand and stare at the beautiful property. The property is spacious and nestled between the mountains, covered by the gorgeous white sands and lush green trees. The location gives it a surreal feeling and is absolutely a treat to the eyes. It has several cottages with an open lawn along with seating arrangement attached to it.

This property is operating for about 2 months and is extremely new. The staff are friendly and there is a very warm hospitality from their end. We were welcomed with warm kashmiri kehwa and shortly we checked into our rooms. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The rooms are very good at the resort with sanitisation protocols being followed. Our car was parked in the resort premises itself without any hassle. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful! The sky is crystal clear creating hues with all shades of blue and pink.

We quickly freshned up and had some fritters as snacks along with tea and went for the property tour. We were absolutely dazzled with the alluring beauty that lay right in front of us. Imagine just staying in a place which is so so far away from the maddening human civilization encompassed by nature. The sun sets here around 7 pm and till then you can enjoy the day light to the fullest. Dusk is super pretty here with sun rays playing all over the white sand and creating absolute picturesque scenary. The electricity is an issue here but Verda White sands have proper power backup to keep the resort running 24*7. The temperature of Nubra is usually low post evening. Around 8 pm we really started feeling the drop in temperature drastically. There is a provision for bonfire for each seperate rooms in their own lawn space.

We had dinner around 9 pm . The food was absolutely delicious. They had a variety of Indian and Chinese dishes. The soup was served warm. The starters and main course spread was really good. The food was served piping hot and had a very homely touch. Post dinner we simply stared at the silhouettes of the mighty mountains surrounding us. Honestly nothing was seen even within the farthest of our eye sight. This feeling of getting lost in the nature without a care is one of the experience that this property offered us which made us absolutely adore this place.

Next morning we broke up to the bright sun beckoning us from the window. For breakfast we had, puri sabzi, omlette, coffee, fruits and fruit juice. We really loved the breakfast spread. For lunch, we had ordered a-la-carte. The food tasted delicious.

I found Nubra as really the most beautiful place in Ladakh and Verda holds a special place due to its impeccable service and pristine location. The next morning it was time to bid adieu to Nubra!
See you until, next time.
